ABOUT NATASHA...
Natasha Hansell is the founder and principal of STEP UP School of Dance.
Natasha started dancing at the age of 4 years old when she attended her first dance school. Natasha traveled all over the country with her school entering and winning many competitions in Freestyle, Pairs, Slow Dance, Rock n Roll, Latin and Teams.
Entering examinations under the U.K.A Natasha has achieved top results as high has 99% in all exams for Freestyle, Latin, Rock n Roll, Acro, Ballroom, Slow, Sow, Pairs, Musical Theatre, Teams, Ballet and Tap and much more!..
Natasha has also danced on top London stages such as Her Majesty's, London Palladium and Saddler's Wells for the Mardi Gras, Stars In Their Eyes and Young Performers, alongside many celebrities.
After years at her first dance school Natasha decided she wanted more from her dancing and wanted to turn this into a career and progress in the future. She decided to move dance schools and moved to be trained and later to go on to work for David Jones former owner of Touch of Class Dancentre.
David is well respected in the dance industry and Natasha wanted to be under his wing and learn from the best in the business. While teaching for Dave Natasha and went on to be shortlisted for dance awards such as the John Dilworth and Bill Tasker scholorships while trained by Dave.
Natasha is a I.D.T.A and B.C.A qualified dance teacher and A.D.F.P Member and Adjudicator and judges at many competitions at the weekend all over the country. Natasha and also hold and up to date CRB and POVA check, as well as being fully insured.
In 2008 Natasha decided to open up her own dance and STEP UP SCHOOL OF DANCE was born on March 31st 2008.
Natasha has also choreographed for many schools, nurseries and dance schools for show work, as well as training many Championship winning dancers. As well as choreographing routines for Britain's Got Talent and Idol UK.

Natasha has also worked with a number of radio stations including BRMB and Beacon radio, as well as working alongside many charities and other organisations.
Natasha is also a Young Ambassador for the Princes Trust, and has just been nominated for The Business Enterprise Award, and The Community Impact Award by the Princes Trust and has been shortlisted to the final six finalists for the Community Impact Award which took place in November 2009.
Natasha has also worked with Education Business Partnership and also Global Entrepreneurship Week. As well as being involved with Dragons Den Entrepreneurship event.
In 2009 STEP UP were lucky to have David Jones and Steven Knoall as guest teachers at STEP UP. Who between them are Championship teachers, lectures, adjudicators and examiners. As well as being former World Latin Championship dancers from South Africa.
STEP UP is Natasha's passion and she loves to see pupils progress and learn new styles. She loves to
see pupils walk through the door not being able to dance and then months down the line see them winning a competition or performing on stage for the first time.
STEP UP offers many different dance styles, in a fun and friendly atmosphere with helpful staff on hand to assist. We aim to create opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities to reach their goals and ambition, and to learn skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.
Natasha has so much planned for STEP UP in 2010.

Our street and hip-hop teacher joined the studio in November 2009 and offers Street, Hip-Hop and Break at the studio on Wednesday's at 6.30-7.30 pm and Saturday's 1.30-2.30 pm.
He has had many years of dance experience in many different styles.
He has taken part in music videos and tours for famous celebrities including American stars Sean Kingston and Jaggered Edge to name a few.
He has also taken part in many events, shows such as 'Britain's Got Talent' and he has also just appeared on the new Davina Mcall show "Just Dance" out on TV now!

Fay has been at the studio since 2008 and offer Fitness and Aerobics on Wednesday nights at 7.30 - 8.30 pm.
Fay has many years of experience as an Ex-Freestyle Championship dancer at one of the top West Midlands dance schools, as well as a qualified Aerobics instructor.
Fay has also worked running a gym, as well as offering one to one personal fitness lessons.

Gemma has been at the studio since 2008 and offers classes and lessons to both children and adults.
Gemma currently has a recording contract and has had her own dance single released.
She offers lessons on Monday's and Wednesday's at the studio and classes on Wednesday's for adults and Saturday's for children and teenagers.
Gemmas pupils not only have the chance to perform at different events, but to also write their own songs and produce their own CD's.

Lucy started dancing at the age of 4 until the age of 18 when she turned to teaching dance as an addition to the job she was already doing in schools.
She turned to cheerleading when it became much more wide spread in England and has enjoyed competing in regional competitions, before qualifying with BCA.
Lucy is joining the STEP UP team from February 2010 and will be offering cheerleading on Monday's and Saturday's. Please check our time table or contact Lucy below on her number or email address.
Lucy will be offering "Cheer 4 Fun" which will focus on pom routines on Monday nights, and on Saturday's longer classes including pom routines, conditioning, stunts and tumbling. These classes will be split into age groups and pupils will have the opportunity to compete in competitions.

We have dancers who are in the class alongside the teachers to make new pupils feel welcome and help them out with any routines they may be stuck on.
